As a counter-point, I run a one-man tech business and use kubernetes to run some 60+ application and db servers. I don't have time to babysit each application I'm running and kubernetes is a force mutliplier that I rely on heavily.

There is a cost to managing it but even so, without the automation it provides I simply wouldn't have the capacity to do what I do.



Interesting, though the fact that you're managing that many servers as a one-man show is a testament to the author's point.
